This tailor suit has a sole purpose and it is to capture the raw beauty and innocence of a stolen land, Connemara

My homeland, the vast valleys I ran through as a child have a dark history tainting it. As a famine left Ireland with 50% of its population, Connemara was wiped of its people, culture, and for a while, its spirit. As Ireland was on the road to independence, we saw it gain back its identity that the suffering stripped away.

Hence as a love letter to the place that calls me to go back home, I wish to incorporate the famous lace of the West of Ireland alongside a collar that mirrors the fall of a Galwegian shawl, conveyed through a vanishing detail. I was also inspired by the French 'Bar Jacket' purely because of its timeless and feminine silhouette.
